It is impossible for an ortho surgeon in his 20s in the uk to earn 105,000. They will still be doing specialty training, which the max salary is 48,000 + 50% for overtime

  3. Justin says:

I would like to become an orthopedic surgeon but I am not sure if I can get into their residency program. I am willing to relocate anywhere in U.S. but would like to end up in florida. Could you provide any advice on that? I currently am in undergrad and work part time at a physical therapy rehab center. Also, how does the health care reform stuff affect surgeons as opposed to non-surgical doctors. One more question.. once you’ve made it through residency are you still working 80 hour weeks or does it drop to 45-50? Thank you
