Hi brandee. My sister is currently a sophmore at Howard University, and I have to say that it is quite an amazing school. I plan on being either a singer or an OB/GYN when I graduate from college. Since you say that you are a junior in high school, you must already be thinking about college. If you apply to Howard, I hope that you get in. Just keep your grades top notch and you’ll be just fine.

      • Lindsey says:

Girl. I’m in middle school. I want to go to UMKC college. I can’t wait to be an OB/GYN. I can’t believe I already know what I want t be, where I want to go, and how much I want to have. Don’t get me wrong. Howard is a great school. My big sis goes there. But I want to go to UMKC. Sure it’s big and I’ll get lost, but it’s my dream. My mom says she’s going to force me to go to KU like my big brother. I told her I was going to run away if she does. But my point is, don’t let anyone tell you who you are. Be yourself. No one can change that.

Hey, I saw how long you’ve been in this profession and was thinking of a few things. In your opinion, what does it take to be an OB GYN? I’m 22 and have two children with my husband. Sadly, I didn’t think about the fact that I NEEDED an education to support a family one day. It’s been my dream to be an OB but am terrified that I don’t have what it takes only because I don’t know what it takes.

    • Tomi says:

I’ve seen on a lot of sites that the hours can be strenuous and irregular. So you still have time to, well, ENJOY your life and family? The profession sounds amazing and I’ve wanted to be one for years, but this is a big worry of mine.

  19. Risaa says:
