    Yoga instructor Certification Courses

Yoga certification classes usually discuss different topics, such as the roots and philosophies of yoga, principles of anatomy and physiology, and yoga postures and positions. These classes also teach students about the types of yoga, breathing techniques, meditation methods, and body alignment. Aspiring yoga instructors who want to take advanced training courses will learn about developing yoga classes depending on the type of students, such as children, seniors, pregnant women, and athletes, among others.

    Yoga instructor Requirements

Certification program providers often require aspiring yoga instructors to be at least 18 years old, although other providers only accept 21-year olds and above. There are also providers who only take in students who have a yoga background, hence their requirement for applicants to write an essay or answer questions about what they know about yoga. Some certification programs also give outside work, such as book reports, research papers, daily meditation, daily journal, and evaluating different yoga classes. Each program also varies in tuition fees, often ranging from $300 to $3,000. Before signing up for a program, students are advised to read the fine print about the tuition cost, since some fees may not include the cost of travel and the training materials.

Training materials are necessary in the pursuit of yoga certification. Yoga training won’t be complete without instructional DVDs, textbooks, flash cards, audio CDs, and online resources. These may be included in the overall cost of the certification program.

    Yoga instructor Certification Exam

Yoga certification courses usually end with a final exam for the students. To prepare for that exam, quizzes are given throughout the training to test the students’ skills and knowledge. Quizzes are both written and hands-on. Students who get a passing score on the final exam will be given their yoga instructor certification and be qualified to teach yoga.
